In many ways, the story of SC CHEM is the story of Frank Fisher. Frank's journey in the chemical industry began with a robust foundation in chemistry, culminating in a Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Duke University. Empowered by knowledge and propelled by ambition, Frank ascended the corporate ladder, leaving a lasting mark on every venture he undertook.

Throughout his career, Frank adeptly navigated the complexities of international business, pioneering new ventures, orchestrating negotiations, and cultivating enduring relationships worldwide. His unparalleled expertise in enterprise is evidenced by a cumulative sourcing spend exceeding $1 billion across more than 20 countries.

Motivated by his love of the specialty chemical industry and a desire to leave a lasting family legacy, Frank embarked on the journey to establish SC CHEM, a family-owned, family-run business. To put it in Frank's words, “Starting a chemical company after a rewarding 34-years in the chemical industry may sound crazy!
